Captain Hector Nelson walked slowly into his ready room, the door sliding shut behind him. The only recognizable sound was the gentle hum emitting from the engines. It was rather peaceful on this particular day, never the less, the USS BOUNTY was in route to the outskirts of the delta quadrant. Inwardly, Captain Nelson was looking forward to the coming missions.
Then his combadge beeped. "Sir, we've reached the designated position. Shall I take us in?" The ensign’s voice was full of life; young. Turning around, Hector walked onto the bridge and took his seat at the command chair. “Yes, Ensign. Engage at one quarter impulse.”

Lt Daniel Clark stepped off the turbolift. His blue eyes looked around the Bridge of the USS Bounty. He was out of his element, as he was used to Secret Service Duty, and more of Security. He had expected, when transfered, that he would have been given either a joint department, as now common, or Security. Nether the less he had been assigned to Tactical of all things. And Daniel keeps to his convictionans and will do his Job.
He looked around and decided that it was best that he report in now , seeing that at the moment nothing seemed to be happening. He spotted the captains ready room, on the other side of the Bridge. He walked over to it, past consoles and officers. He rang the chime and heard the Captain inside summon him inside and the door swished open. He stepped inside and stood before the Captains desk and Said, "Lt Daniel Clark, Chief Tactical Officer, reporting for duty"

Then his combadge beeped. "Sir, we've reached the designated position. Shall I take us in?" The ensign’s voice was full of life; young. As Captain Nelson was getting up after being summoned to the bridge, a new officer entered the ready room and introduced himself. Shaking the man’s hand, Hector said, “Welcome aboard, Mr. Clark. Glad to have you with us.” Letting go of his hand, he said, “Take your station, Lieutenant.”
Captain Hector Nelson walked onto the bridge and took his seat at the command chair. “Yes, Ensign. Engage at one quarter impulse.” Turning towards Lt. Clark, Captain Nelson said, “Yellow Alert. Mr. Clark, please scan for crafts bearing charged weapons. Although I doubt there are any this close to the boarder, I want to know if there are any hostile vessels in the area.”

"Yes Captain" Daniel said and stepped up to his console and pulled up the chair behind him. He slid his hands along the shiny flat surface. He found the button for yellow alert and pressed it. He looked up and the lights solidified in a yellow. He turned around to his status screen showing that the Bountys sheilds had raised and weapons we're standing by. He spun back round again to the front of his Square of Consoles.
Daniel tapped a command and pulled up sensors and checked the nearby vessals for weapons. "Captain, I'm picking up a small ship on long range sensors, weapons charged" Daniel reported as he ran an in depth scan. He wondered what the Captain would do. He allowed his hands to glide to his right hand console to check for the power for weapons, just in case.

“Captain, I'm picking up a small ship on long range sensors, weapons charged" Daniel reported as he ran an in depth scan of the area. Standing up, Captain Nelsen walked around to the security console. “On screen.” A second latter the ship was up onscreen, yet it was too tiny to make out. “Magnify.” Even with the magnification, the ship was too small to make out it’s origins.
“Lt. Clark, what type of ship is that?” He asked, peering at the view screen. This quadrant, the delta quadrant, was strange and mysterious. If the ship was unfriendly, naturally the U.S.S. BOUNTY, an Akira Heavy-Cruiser, would surely be a match for them. “What type of weapons do they have?”

Daniel tapped his sensors console to run and identification scan of the ship. To his surprise there was no match. "Captain, theres nothing in the database, but it's about Ten Metres long, five wide" Daniel siad "But for its size, it carries very potent weaponrey"
He turned back to him main command and control console. "However, they seem to have almost ignored the other systems, they seem to be heading for us but not on a direct course"
Daniel turned to his status screen at the back. He checked the Bounty. "According to this" Daniel said spinning back round again "If that ship can get of its most potent weapons we could have a problem" Daniel wondered what the Captain would do. This even before they'ed gotten into the Nebula they were ordered to go to. "Orders Captain?" Daniel asked.

Captain Nelson stood, thinking, for a moment, not making a sound. Then he walked from the Tactical Console to his Command Chair and took a seat. The yellow glow in the bridge was somewhat suggestive to the attitude being expressed by the crew: worried yet ready for action.
“Remain at yellow alert.” He said to Lt. Clark. “I want our weapons ready, just in case we are engaged. Our orders are to investigate a nebula, not make contact with a seemingly hostile aliens race.” He paused. “ Maintain course. Let me know if that ship does anything interesting..”

"Understood Captain" Daniel said before tapping his main console to have weapons on ready status. Daniel didn't like this. As a Secret Service agent Daniel could tell if something was really wrong. He didn't like the seemingly far away vessal, it was too well armed. As if its purpose was to attack, and die in the attempt.
Daniel spun his seat round to the back console and began to run a systems check of the entire ship. He then picked up a PADD from the side and began to write on it.
Chief of Tacticals Log Stardate 54575.3
The Bounty is heading to investigate a nebula where many ships have gone missing. I detected a small ship on long range sensors, seemingly heading out way. It was heavely armed for a ships its size. The Captain decided to observe rather than investigate it. Altough I agree with the captains descion I still have a bad feeling about that little ship
End Log
Daniel finished writeing and put the PADD back down/

The two ships slowly grew closer to each other, the crew of the USS BOUNTY growing more tense all the while. The yellow lights that filled the bridge blinked slowly as the seconds grew longer; sweet ran down the forehead of Captain Nelson. He resented the fact that his first day in command of the Bounty may result in a battle.
Very slowly, the two ships passed along one another, nearly colliding. The crew sat with baited breath as the Bounty remained unharmed. “Have we been contacted in any way, shape, or form?” Captain Nelson asked the communications officer. “Negative sir.” Taking in a deep breath, Hector Nelson said, “Very well. Proceed towards the nebula.” Turning to the Operations Officer, the Captain said, “Transfer all information on that ship to my ready room. Lt. Clark, you have the bridge. Alert me once we have reached the nebula.” And with that, the Captain left the bridge.

Daniel nodded as the captain went to his ready room and began to copy all the information he had on the approching ship. Once the computer had copyied the data Daniel sent it to the Captain, he imagined the Data going through the circutiy to the Captain. Daniel stayed at his Station rather then moveing anywhere, he had a good veiw of the Bridge from his Box of stations at the back.
Daniel rested his hands on the side of his console. Feeling the heat of the console, he felt the slight vibrations in the ship, his feet on the floor felt rumbleings from the ships warp Core. The Bridge was oddly quiet, nobody was speaking, which was surpriseing since the Captain was not there. So Daniel broke the Silence,
"Comm Officer has there been any signals at all from that ship?" Daniel asked "Low Level scans, nothing out of the Ordinary" The Officer said "There was a spike on the EM spectram about 5 minutes ago but other then that nothing" Daniel frowned and sent a message to the captain informing him of this.

Zeppelin walked onto the Bridge. "Where's the Captain?" he asked aloud, trying to see who was in charge. "Mr. Clark your relieved, please resume Tactical now." Zeppelin said, as he took the Captain's chair. "Helm, what's our current speed?" he asked the female ensign.
"Sir, we're travelling at Full Impulse." She answered.
"How far is the Nebula Ensign?" he asked, purposely to the same officer.
"I... I don't know sir."
"Atleast your honest, next time just ask Operations..." he turned his head left and saw no Operations Officer. "Who was assigned Ops for Bravo shift?" everyone looked around, but no one knew. "I'll check it myself." he sat down at ops and checked. "Half a light year, I need to speak with the Captain, maintain speed and distance." Zeppelin walked into the ready room.
"Captain, we're about an hour away from the Nebula, if we engage warp 5, we could be there in 10 minutes, no rush sir?" he asked as he rested his arms on the seat infront o the Captains desk

Daniel slid his hands across his console watching the new officer who was evidently the new first officer. He accessed the Starfleet database. According to the datbase, this man had been 'lost in time' for several years after serveing aboard the USS Endeavour, like Daniels own great grandfather. 'Adopted' great grandfather, Daniel ammended. Diray entreies showed that the two had had differeances, but Daniel decided to at least try to get along with this man.
Daniel carried on to moniter the ship, as was half of the Bridge crew. He frowned as he watched the tiny ship do a U-turn and come back towards them. "Hail them, while I get the captain." Daniel said to Com before tapping his Combadge "Clark to Captain, that ship out there has come about; they are heading towards us again."

Stepping off the turbo lift as it made a dull swish sound opening then closing once more Six looked around. She had just been assigned to this vessel after Voyager returned. The delta quadrant, a place she knew much better than most sence as a borg she spent a lot of time here. The bridge seemed to be in a buz of activity so she found herself a empty consil and found out why. The ship seemed familiar to her but she wasn't sure who it was. Leaving the consil she looked at the view screen that displayed the small heavly armed vessel heading thier way. Even a ship like the Bounty would have problems if this turned into a firing match.
Knowing now wasn't the time to give formal introductions to who was here she excused the young ensign working at the helm and took over. This was her post and she hd a feeling she would be needed. Checking systems, all was go. Retuning her attention to the view screen she kept ready to either prepare for a fight or jump to warp. But why did she reconize this ship, as a borg she was responsible for countless trillions being assimulated and over that time she proble assimulated a vessel like this but think about it with all of that in your mind would you remember random things like this off the top of you head? No, as the tiny ship grew closer she only could wonder what the Captain would do, whom she didn't even know the name of yet.

The Captain was examining the data from the mysterious ship when the ship’s commander entered the Captain’s Ready Room. "Captain, we're about an hour away from the nebula, if we engage warp five, we could be there in ten minutes, no rush sir?" He asked, as he rested his arms on the seat in front of the Captains desks. Taking a breath, Hector said, “This is not a rescue operation, rather a investigate. I’m in no rush. Are you Commander?”
Then, suddenly, Lt. Clark’s voice came through the communications system. Walking onto the bridge, Captain Nelson asked, “What do you make of that EM spike.” Then suddenly the previous ship turned up on sensors, heading back towards the Bounty. “Tactical Report. Helm, slow to one quarter impulse.”
